XF 1.4 ERR_CONNECTION_RESET

We have been experiencing this error since last night, it typically kicks in if a user lets the page sit idle for a few minutes and then clicks a link. Also, if the site is left idle and then you click on the inbox or notifications they begin t o load for a moment and then promptly stop.

Who is your host?
Are you on shared hosting or a VPS?

If it's happening to multiple visitors then it is more than likely a server issue.
Have you mentioned it to your host?

Hostgator, shared hosting. Just got done talking to them and they say it's not them and nothing is showing up in the log. Said it has to be the software. I don't so much believe them.

If it was the software, we would have had a lot more reports of it.

You can try disabling all add-ons in case it is related to one of those.

I disabled them all and it was still present.

Suspicions have been confirmed-- the issue fixed itself overnight. It was the server, despite their denials.

It's not the first time a host has tried to blame the software and I highly suspect it won't be the last.
