As it is right now, the only thing one can do on What's new overview page for posts is to click on one of the links to get to the thread.
It would be great if it was possible to directly interact with content straight from What's New.
While this is already possible for profile posts, it is not possible for forum posts - which I think are way more important than profile posts.
Being able to directly see (part) of the post, report, like or reply could significantly improve user activity/engagement, especially as there are no hovers on mobile.
