Embedded images (jpg) with an extra period in the filename don't work

I noticed that if one of my members embeds a jpg image file with an extra period "." in the filename all that shows up on the forum is the text instead of the image.

For example: [CODE]http://www.website.com/image.1.jpg[/CODE]

However, browsers don't usually have a problem displaying jpg files with an extra period. Is there any tweak I could do to make XF display these kinds of files?

There's no reason it shouldn't work. Do you have an example?

And I was able to view the image in another window. Then it properly appeared in the post. Weird. I'll continue to test.

That's referrer blocking then. It's setup by the image's server. Nothing you can do about it.
