I may be wrong but just because a user is ignored shouldn’t mean they shouldn’t see media. Only their media that shouldn’t to somebody who is ignoring them.

The issue I have is that poster x ignores poster y - should poster y be able to see poster x's media, I would argue not

Yes of course. y is being ignored in this case so poster x is the one doing the ignoring not the other way round.

I bought an add-on called block/ignore essentials which facilitates this perfectly except for xfmg media. This sort of functionality really ought to be part of the core offer in my view
