XF 1.5 Emails sent to users via SMTP contain weird header

Hi,

I was tried setting up email options using SMTP to send notification emails. It works however the email received by the user contains weird headers like this:

My Board Title <admin@example.com> sent by admin+c8ee3a08+username=gmail.com@example.com

Any idea how to remove the sent by header?

I don't think XenForo is adding that, I'd guess it's coming from the SMTP service you're using

You probably need to disable the variable return path option, given that it looks like your SMTP server probably manipulates the headers if the return path is different.

Thanks for the feedback @Jake B. @Mike. I'm using Zoho mail but I can't find any settings to change the headers in their mail settings. When I'm sending through mail client like Outlook, this doesn't happen.

Enable variable bounced email address values
