So I've been plugging away at this for a while now. This is the issue, When emails are sent through php they are sent to peoples spam folders or not received at all. So I tried to rectifiy this by trying to figure out how to do all of the different verification records.. needless to say there is no real guide out there for this and I'm completely new to it. So eventually, I gave up. I gave it a day. Then started on a new approach. I decided to follow a guide that setup gmail as the smtp server. which is found here, http://xenforo.com/community/thread...smtp-server-for-your-xenforo.6180/#post-90756 .
After going through all of this process (and there is no free version mail system anymore for a dns on gmail -.-) I setup the mailing system on xenforo to
SMTP: smtp.gmail.com : 465
user name and password: admin@blockrealms.net : xxxxxxxx
encryption: SSL
When I try and have my test account resend an email verification email xenforo registers an error which is here. http://pastebin.com/KgJrur12
I've done just about everything I can really think of. So if someone has a legitimate, good to understand guide of how to do email through sendmail and setup all of the verification stuff thats needed for it. I'd love to have it. If someone has an alternative to gmail that I can use and it be easier to setup I'd love to have that as well. Basically, I just need the darndable thing to work, so if anyone has a clue here I'd love to know.
