Email Issues....

Basically, when I created this site, I threw on and old unused email I had (still have complete access to).

Settings show this:



Now, everything works when I leave it just like that.

If I change that address, not a single email gets sent. I have tried older accounts (my original one ever created, a brand new one)... nothing changes. All are still with GMail.

Am I missing a setting somewhere to reset this? The board is not locked to an email whenever it is created is it?

No, XenForo doesn't "lock" anything with respect to that setting.

What outgoing mail server are you using? Some mail servers are sensitive to the "from" address. For example, I have seen mail servers that don't send if the "from" address doesn't match your site's domain name.

I can change the one shown here, to whatever I want....

However, if I change the one in the first post, nothing is sent to any member... replies, pm's, etc... (email wise)

Contact the mail host or try a different mail server. Here is a guide for using Google as your SMTP server:
