XF 1.5 Email content on new post in watched thread

Hello,


when in a watched thread (or forum) a new post is posted, members (can) receive an email. E.g.
watched_forum_message_messagetext_email_text sends the complete post text via {message}. I would like to just send the first 100 characters or so. Is there any way (or add-on) to limit the quote?

may I come back to this topcic?

I tried to remove the {message} identifier, but it seems not to work. The email that is sent seems to be created from different phrases. The first one is:

watched_thread_reply_email_html

I do not want to include the content of the post in the email - what do I have to do?
