XF 1.3 Email alerts for messages and comments on profile?

I am not getting email alerts. Just the regular alerts. Is this by design? I have gone through all the settings. Could not find anything specific. Thanks.

There are no email alerts for profile posts and comments in the stock XenForo. If you would like these, you'll need this this add-on.
