XF 1.5 Email alert frequency

I am getting single alerts but is there a setting to get them grouped in a single e-mail like in the old system?

This idea makes sense to me. Is there a way to do it? Or is he simply out of luck?

I suggested that he turn off email alerts in his profile (like I did) and just login occcasionally to check his alert count. That solution works very well for me, but he's not happy with that solution.
