Duplicate Editing user populates Username field with my username

When I'm in the Approval queue and select Moderator tools -> Edit



The Username field is updated with my username, it should remain the user that I'm editing username.

This doesn't seem to be happening for me. Maybe a browser auto-fill? I'm using Chrome (128.0.6613.120) on Windows 11.

Didn't do it for me (windows 11, edge browser) and editing with my admin (the only one to do that)

I suspect this only happens with Firefox. What is strange is that it only happens the first time.

Do this:

Approval queue -> Right click on username -> Moderator tools -> Edit

Here are the steps to reproduce this issue.

Copy a users link and add /edit to it like this:



Log out of your forum.

Now paste the link into the Firefox browser address bar.

First you will prompted to log into the Administrator login. After logging in you will be redirected to the edit users page. Notice how the Username field will have your username entered.

It's a little wonky but I did produce it on firefox once. I think it's related to when the acp asks you to login, otherwise if it remembers your login details (and doesn't prompt you to enter them), it doesn't seem to trigger.

To fix this issue, please add autocomplete="off" attribute to the user_edit template here:

I'm observing this bug since v2.3.0. Steps to reproduce:

• Make sure you're not logged into Admin panel
• Select any user and "Edit"
• Log into Admin
• The user intended to be edited will have the logged-in admin username
