XF 1.3 Editing threads and adding tags doesn't give off alert.

Editing a thread and adding another @ tagged user does not alert that user that he has been tagged in a thread. Is this a bug or an option I'm missing somewhere?

This is contrary to user expected behavior, so these design decisions should probably be reviewed - a feature shouldn't be designed to confuse users. (My opinion after numerous complaints on our forum regarding this)

It's against many months of @ behavior. Needs at least an option or toggle indeed. There are an incredible amount of sticky posts that we "edit" tags into ... and this is causing numerous issues for us.
