We're getting ready to expose our test site to some real users but before doing so I wanted to empty a couple of the forums that include old posts we imported to test with.

Is there a way in the ACP to delete all threads on a forum?

    No.

The only way is via the front end using the moderator tools.

Is there a quick way to do it with the mod tools? "select all" just selects the current page and we have hundreds of pages...

You could try increasing the number of threads per page.

You may run in to problems trying to delete too many threads at once though.

Yeah that's what I was thinking so was hoping there was some kind of prune thread option like in VB accessible via the ACP

    Cheers

I realised a simpler way would be to delete the node and then remake it. When I delete a node I assume all it's content gets deleted? Or is it orphaned and needs cleaning up?
