XF 1.5 Dropping the content lower in the sidebar

How can i lower the content in my sidebar so my ad can show the full width (as indicated by red arrow) without being covered?

I have sort of solved this on our test board by setting the ad mapping to reduce the ad size before it goes under the sidebar, but I would rather be able to drop the sidebar content enough so it doesn't get in the way. If anyone knows how to do this, let me know, I'd appreciate it.

I want the sidebar content to be at this level:
