XF 2.2 Driving me mad.... Approve member & User Group Promotion

Ok, new here and still cant get this to work

New member Valid - REGISTERED and set to approve new content (mod approval queue)

Have set up a User Group promotion

2 posts - Valid and in REGISTERED then after 2 post they should get promoted

tried 3 new test members, 10 posts and member doesnt get promoted

Guess im missing something somewhere ?!!!

You don't need all of that criteria.

All you need is:


And then the group to add them to which has the approval permission set to Yes:


Ensure in the Registered group that permission is set to No, not Never.

The promotion is not instant - it runs on a cron, or the next time the member logs in.

@Brogan - thanks have adjusted and try again - the submit content without approval was set to yes in the promoted user group

Is there any way to adjust the cron timing of 20 minutes ?

Disable the default cron task and create a new entry and set the timing to your preferred value.

Don't adjust the default task because any changes will be overwritten when you upgrade.
