XF 2.3 Downloading Installed Addons from the Addon Control Panel?

How do you download installed addons from the addon control panel? There's no option for it anywhere

Such a function doesn't exist. You can only disable, install or uninstall.

This is ridiculous. What if the place I got it from suddenly disappears? What if I need to send it to a dev for a fix? What if I'm moving to another site? Or what if I simply want to OWN my own addon...

You had to have a downloaded copy to install it in the first place. Typically the dev that wrote it would do the fix.

The addon is already on my site, within my control panel, why shouldn't I be able to download it? Whether I originally had a copy or not is irrelevant, the files exist on my server. I should have full access to something running on my own server

I have to agree that an ability to download the installed add on from the ACP would be helpful.

I've wanted this functionality as well, if a mod author leaves the community and the download link goes down, it's handy to move an add-on from one forum to another by being able to download it. Definitely would love to see this.

Would you not just use (S)FTP or a file manager to get the files? If you own the server you have access to the files. It's only XF Cloud you wouldn't.

Because it's not easy if you don't know in which folders all files went.

The path would usually be fairly easy to figure out, but it isn't like you don't have access to it if the author disappears or anything.
