XF 2.0 Download zip-file

Referring to my previous question on how to write to internal data, the next question would be, how to initiate a zip download through XenForo. The zip-file is now stored in internal_data and ready for download, however simply redirecting the user there won't work, as internal_data is not publicly accessible.

My idea was to look this up based on the style exporter, but seeing that he specifically calls renderXml this does not seem suitable to me.

I haven't done this myself but you could have a look at how "XF/Pub/View/Attachment/View.php" delivers files stored in the internal data directory.
