This is somewhere between a bug report and an improvement request.
Resources are always listed to have been updated. Even when they have never been updated. When there has never been an update then the resource creation timestamp is used as the placeholder for the non-existent update timestamp.

It seems to me that it is common practise in the rest of the XenForo software that data should not be displayed if there is no data.

The creation date is already displayed so its a replication of data that is already available.

Threads display the same way. The last reply section is populated with the thread starter information if there are no replies.

Not doing this removes any consistent manner for determining the time of the resource's last update/initial posting, as you would have to jump back and forth. Given that this is what we're actually sorting on in many cases, that doesn't seem ideal.

The creation date is already displayed so its a replication of data that is already available.
And this isn't always true. The creation date is hidden at smaller resolutions.
