Do any of you use Amazon Lightsail as a cloud server host?

Curious if any of you do... and what you think about them.

Its like any other unmanaged VPS and it is reasonably priced. Nothing special.

Pricing looked good until I realized there was no support. In order to get the comparable support that I get from my current host, they want to charge me $100 more per month(!)

Its unmanaged. That's appropriate for such low pricing. You aren't getting shared hosting environment, you are getting your own VPS where you get root access and can do whatever you want.

If you are buying support, it becomes managed hosting. That requires completely different pricing. AWS support is expensive, so for managed hosting you should look somewhere else.

i gave it a try. the lamp server they offered had very outdated component. gave it up right then because updating it was also not very simple. but yeah, they really make it easy to get started with wordpress. xenforo would take a while to setup and configure.
