Browser issue Disappearing text when selected in post

If I select some text in a message (in the actual message, not the editor) it just disappears. If I select some other text it comes back.

I can only make this happen (so far) on one posts and only when logged in. Using Safari.

No, nor can I (yet) replicate it on other posts apart from post 3 of this thread

On other posts when selecting text I get the expected +quote and reply buttons

As mentioned only when logged in. (But happens when logged in as myself also when logged in as test user.

Okay, how about with all browser extensions disabled?

There is only one extension (1 password) and it still happens with that disabled.

Someone has now replied in that thread, still happens but only on post three.

Whatever I select (entire post text or just one word) same thing happens, same chunk of text that disappears until I refresh page or select something else

I can reproduce it on my local dev install. Certainly some sort of Safari issue. I'd better test in the Safari Tech Preview in case it is fixed in a future version.

@Mr Lucky I'm going to hesitantly mark this as resolved and write it off as a browser issue.

I say hesitantly because I appreciate how finicky this is.

I'd better test in the Safari Tech Preview in case it is fixed in a future version.
