disabling popups completely

I have popup blocker enabled in firefox. I have no sites in the allow list. But some sites STILL pops up advertisements!

Is there any way to completely block these ads from popping up? (It doesn't matter what browser I use, whether IE, chrome, FF)

Javascript is what powers popups. I prefer Noscript for Firefox:

Noscript allows you to enable javascript by domain name.
