XF 2.0 Disable GIFS for profile banners/headers

Is there a way to block users from uploading gifs for their profile banner? Tends to break the site. Have no problems with them using gifs for avatars but profile banners don't work properly.

I don't think, other than completely blocking uploading of GIF's, it is possible. Maybe a notice to display telling users not to do such, and then putting them in "time-out" by placing them in a group that is not allowed to upload a banner?
I have it set up so that users cannot upload one until they've made 5 posts and had a promotion ran.
