XF 1.2 Disable Default Signup

Hello all, first post here!

I run a gaming community and currently use the Steam login system which links forum accounts to Steam accounts, but the default signup method is still available.

I would like to know, if possible, how to disable the default signup method and only allow users to signup via the Steam login feature. However, the default login method should still be available to allow users to login with their username and/or email address once they've actually signed up.

Furthermore, is there a possibility to "sync" user data between the forum and the Steam servers if, for example, users change their Steam name or profile picture etc.

There isn't an option to disable the standard registration system while maintaining registrations from other authentication methods. If the user establishes a password at any point, they are effectively no different from a "local" registration.

As for syncing, since the auth is provided by an add-on, you'd have to ask any questions in the add-on's thread.
