Not planned Disable avatars

i would like to see in admin pc an option to disable all avatars.

You can already disallow users from uploading avatars in user group permissions, unless you mean something else?

Generally speaking, I would say this isn't something we would plan to do. We use avatars as an important identifying feature in various places (including situations where we just use an avatar).

Can there be an option where an user self can set a preference he doesn't want to see avatars in threads and thread lists? I have users who would love to have the option not to see avatars, but others like to see them.

It's possible but would require some manual customisation.

You can either have two different styles - one with avatars, one without.

Or have a custom user field which when checked, removes avatars.

In both cases it would mean editing templates and CSS to remove them from the various templates.
