As designed Direct Message Participant

I have a direct message group with multiple members. When a member leaves the group, they still show up as participants. The person who leaves the direct message group should not show up in the participant list.

This is the designed behaviour.

It allows participants to silently leave.

The problem isn't that they left the message. The problem is that they still appear in the message list.

I have never seen any application or software that allows a member to stay in a conversation even after leaving it. Don't you really see this as a bug? When a participant leaves a conversation, they can't receive new messages. What's the use of having their name visible in the conversation list?

It allows participants to silently leave.

Their name should be greyed out with a signifying they were once a participant but left.

How does this look? There will be icons next to the participants that left, fa-eye-slash means they left and ignored future messages and can not be invited again, fa-sign-out-alt means they left and accept future messages and can be invited again.

I think it could say "Past participants" and it would flow better.

Thank you for the plugin. But this plugin can be perceived as "read the message". In some themes, when the last message is read, there is a similar icon next to the name. I think it would be more appropriate if the person who left the chat is not visible at all, like in the WhatsApp group.

In addition to this, it would be great if there was a "who read the last message" plugin. Because there are exactly 150 people in the chat. When we share a message, we want to know who read this message.. I searched for a plugin for this but unfortunately I couldn't find one..

I can only see who read the last message in the "Exclusive Black" theme, but I don't use this theme right now..
