New Year's Eve is close and I am dressing up in Santa to give you discounts and tell you about upcoming plans for this year
This year has not been as productive for me in terms of the release of add-ons and functionality updates for them, as 2020. There are several reasons for this, the main ones being:
1. I was tired of XenForo and did not see any prospects for development in it, I got bored
2. I was working on another project and I simply did not have time
But I hope that in 2022 I can put more effort into the XenForo branch than this year, so I want to share with you my accumulated plans and ideas. Over the course of a year of working on other projects, I have developed my skills in technologies such as Vue.JS, Quasar, Laravel, AdonisJS, NodeJS and cryptocurrency blockchains, which opens up new opportunities for me and, accordingly, for my clients, because many interesting things await them.
Store update
The first and most important part that stops me from developing new add-ons and functionality for them is the state of my store. It was whipped up to kickstart sales, which makes it completely unattractive.
This year I want to release an updated version of my store, which will include a more user-friendly interface, the ability to buy an anonymous domain if you do not want to link yours; subscription plans for add-on packs and cryptocurrency service (more details below)

This add-on will add a full-fledged messenger to your forum, which will allow you to comfortably communicate with people without the need to refresh the page and without situations when you have to switch pages in the conversation in search of the desired message (pagination in correspondence in 2022, we definitely turned the wrong way

Live chat (Will be in Live pack)
Where in a real lively forum without a chat, where members can freely chat in a live mode? NO-WHE-RE! I already have a
free chat add-on that works in live mode, but obviously its setup is too complicated for regular users, and in general add-on needs modernization. Good that modernization and simplicity are the basic principles from which I start when developing the upcoming products
Live threads & alerts (Will be in Live pack)
Again, the lack of real-time work in 2022 is absurd for large projects. Although, mainly, discussions on the forums are conducted with pauses between posts, it would be nice to be able to see new posts and people who are now typing a message in this thread in real time. And my add-on will deal with the modernization of this part of XenForo
Live pack, live pack... What is "Live pack"?
Live pack is a pack of add-ons that will modernize your forum piece by piece.
For each section of the forum, its own addition will be released, which will either completely replace the existing functionality (like conversations), or simply supplement it with the ability to work in real time (like threads). All of them will be available to you on a Live pack subscription. It will include a subscription to the add-ons themselves and their updates, and to an additional live notification service (which will be either Pusher or my own service).
The advantage of this package is that all the add-ons from this list will be enough to simply install and enjoy, no additional hassle in the form of setting up the environment on the server
Cryptocurrency services
The demand for cryptocurrencies is growing and platforms need to adapt and implement them in the same way as PayPal or Visa.
But they are much easier to integrate yourself, because there are already ready-made tools and detailed instructions. But with cryptocurrencies, everything is much more complicated, especially if you do not want to use third-party services that tighten their rules every year. For such cases, I have already released
an add-on that allows you to set up and accept payments on your server in Bitcoin. But this add-on has a couple BUT:
1. Server setup still requires knowledge and experience, and can be difficult for regular users
2. Bitcoin itself is not the most profitable cryptocurrency in terms of fees and small payments
To solve these problems and develop cryptocurrency payments, I want to provide an add-on service that will only need to be installed and added a payment gateway for the required cryptocurrency. And you can already accept payments
But how will it work? Where will the money be stored, how will it be withdrawn, and what will be the fees for this?
I tell you: the add-on will be linked to your account at devsell.io. Payments will be sent to the store's servers and all funds will be stored there. It will be possible to withdraw funds or see the balance both in the forum control panel and in the store.
The business model for monetizing this service has not yet been fully thought out in my head, so if you have any suggestions, I would listen to them. Perhaps it will be a subscription service, or perhaps the store will charge its additional commission when withdrawing.
