When adding your description to the forum do you add a <p> tag yourself or does XenForo do it for you?

The text (or HTML) you insert here must be valid within a <p> tag

Do you mean in the ACP?

Just type the text as normal.
The CSS is applied within the template.

It's added by default (not actually to your description; it's just what it's output within).
