XF 2.3 Deny Search Engine Indexing - Does It Force-Stop ALL Web Crawlers?

How powerful is this option? How does it work? I tried looking at the "Have you seen... ?" articles for v2.3, but I don't see the option mentioned anywhere.

from my understanding, it just add the noindex meta-tag. so, it depends upon the crawler if it respects that or not.
