XF 2.0 Defining and Determining "Active" members

I have been given, as we are about to switch from XF 1.5 to XF 2, the task of comparing our forum's statistics with others in our field.

The first one I'm investigating is "Powered by vBulletin® Version 4.2.2" and there is a What's Going On? thing at the bottom of their page which includes the statistics of "members" and "active members".

Is an active members statistic available under XF 1.5? Under 2.0? And does anyone know if the definition of "active" is admin-configurable in VB 4.2.2, XF 1.5, XF 2?

XF does not have that concept, nor is there any data exposed as to which members have been recently active.

You could do a search in the ACP using the last visited dates criteria:
