XF 1.5 default_watch_state after import

After importing from vB3.x, only few users in Xenforo have set a dafualt_watch_state. Around 220 (out of 35k users) have set it to "watch_email" and only 20 have it set to "watch_no_amail". All others have it empty.

What does this mean within Xenforo, please? If they write to a thread they do not automatically watch the thread?

If it's empty, they won't watch threads they create or reply to. Otherwise they'll watch with an appropriate option over receiving emails.

This would be configured in the user registration options.

I'd say no, because this is likely a value we imported explicitly. Though you can override it if you prefer.
