XF 1.3 Default route issues

I changed the default route of xenForo to portal/ using the built in xenForo feature.

I then removed the add-on ExtraPortal and needed to revert to something else to be the default route.

I changed, in the admin control panel, the default route to index/ (which is a modified route from pages/index) however, the default route seems stuck at portal.

Do I need to rebuild something or is this a problem?

http://minicrafting.com is the URL, although not yet public - which luckily means this isn't a massive deal.

It seems to be working for me when I access your site and it's showing as index/ in the ACP.
What isn't working exactly?

When I visited my site it still redirected to portal/.

Odds are... browser cache bites again!
When making changes I've found sometimes I need to either refresh the browser cache (especially in Chrome) or totally delete it. Every now and then (depending on what I have updated) I've even had to restart php5-fpm and memcached.
