Fixed Date control does not preserve the value on edit on Safari

I noticed that, when I edit someplace that has an <input type="date" /> the value of the input is not preserved. I can see it in the source code, but the text field ends up as blank.

I can reproduce this by going to Banned Users > Edit banned users, and assuming the ban is not permanent ...

The "Until" end date should have the date value pre-filled (it does in Firefox)
But it is empty in Safari

I am using Safari 5.1.1 on Mac

Fixed with the most recent jQuery Tools it seems.
