Database size???

Okay... I dunno about others but why is my database size THIS big?!?!?!

My community aint that big... only 2.5k posts and the database size in about 250MB... :eek:

Take a look at the tables (if you use phpmyadmin sort by table size). Usually the search index is by far the biggest table, bigger than posts.

Yeah check the tables in the database. There must be something else in the database besides XF to account for that usage.

...unless you have lots of attachments?

Mmmh, seems to be big for 2.5posts. I have 80000 posts and db is about 120MB

nope... I use different databases for different scripts ;)
250MB does it really matter? Are you trying to run the forum in a space constrained server, of some sort?
nope... just a little worried and curious as why does it take so much space... I used to manage a community running on vBulletin with about 100k posts and the DB size was about 100MB...
