[cXF] Conversation Button under Avatar

[cXF] Conversation Button under Avatar 2.7.4

No permission to download
Is this a bug, then?

When a specific user's "Start private conversations" permission is set to Never, the Contact button continues to be visible below other users' avatars (when the user with disabled private conversation permission views the forum threads), but the start a conversation button is indeed invisible on other members' profiles.

For some reason the "Contact" button below the avatar doesn't respect the "Start private conversations" user permission. The other areas seem to do.

Great addon. Thanks.

How can I make the whole button clickable, not only the text within the button?

Done. Just upgrade to version 1.7.0 :)

Members can see "Contact" under a Guest's post. I don't know if this is intentional or you knew about this already, but I feel it should be disabled. When you try to PM a guest, it won't work, which is why it would be nice to disable it somehow.
Sorry, can't find a way to hide button under guest avatar. But if you click on it you get a notification you can't send to guest, because that user don't exist.

Is this only a problem if you allow guests to post? Which I don't.

thanks,

Bassman.. I found a major bug in your mod.. when creating a new conversation.. by regular convo... when you type the first new message and subject.. it doesnt redirect you to the message that you created.. it stays on the convo creation page..

Yes, all I can do here is add new feature in style properties for admins to decide if they want a redirect or not. But then when using overlay you won't stay on same page or post.

Im not talking about the overlay.. im talking about if you make a new convo.. in the conversation the core convo.. then you make a message and you cant even tell if it sent or not cause it stays on the same page

I understand what are you talking about. Yes, it stays on same page even if you start a new conversation in the core convo. As I said, I can make it optional with redirect thing.

It's not true you don't know if it's send, because you get a quick notice on top of page after clicking the send button, that conversation has been created. But as said, you'll stay on same page. This is more useful if you click on button in postbit, because you won't be redirected and will stay on same page so you can continue browsing the thread.

Also the buttons.. you have to click it 2 times for it to show up
I belive you're using Mac. That was reported before and don't know why is this like that. Sorry, I'm not using Apple devices...

So, anyone else interested to add an option in style properties to enable/disable the redirect option after sending conversation?

And you have to click twice? Strange, I'm also on W8.1, using Chrome, Firefox, Opera and IE - no problems.

Also checked on W7 and Vista - no double clicking to open up.

I don't experience this.

I have the overlay convo disabled, and redirect to the message works fine after sending the convo.

Was just about to post about this, experiencing the same issues here with 1.7

With mod on creates the convo but doesn't redirect you away from the main start conversation window, mod off works as normal.

Update: looks like this is an issue with the 'Open Conversation in Overlay' feature, with this on the 'Upload File' and 'Preview' buttons disappear.

Yes, this is only going to happen when overlay feature is enabled. I've posted in the FAQ and in style properties says too, that using the overlay feature have some limitations.

About those two buttons - it's already written in the FAQ tab. These are limitations when using overlay feature. That's why I decided to have so many options so you can set it to suit your needs. Maybe some admins won't bother with this.

There was no issue with the overlay feature being enabled and causing the start conversation page to not redirect in 1.5, this seems to be an issue now with 1.7.

Understandable with the upload and preview buttons, hadn't really noticed tbh until noticing this issue.
