Customisation/Developer/Modules

Hello,

I am looking to switch my unlaunched website over to XenForo from vBulletin. The problem is that for vBulletin it is very difficult to find developers who can continuallly customise vBulletin and/or add new modules etc., I am totally untechnical. So, my questions are:

1. Does XenForo customise customers' websites themselves? If not, can you provide a list of a few reputable, well established XenForo developers who can customise my intended XenForo website?

2. Please also list reputable XenForo themes//skins suppliers, if XenForo does not offer the same itself.

3. And, please state if XenForo itself suppplies mods and upgrades or whether there are other such suppliers and state the reputable ones.

4. Please also state any recommended hosting/server companies.

Thank you.

2. Razorthemes (ask for john)
- Pixeledit.com (russ & steve)
- xenique.com (Kim & Forsaken)
- Audentio.com (ask for Mike)

There's a few more people but they are great stylers and trustworthy who will take care of your styling needs.

1) They don't (apart from the initial installation) but there are a lot of reputable people offering their services which you can see in the 3rd Party Services forum (http://xenforo.com/community/forums/third-party-service-offers.42/)

2) We use XenFocus but again, there are a lot of reputable style developers on here.

3) There are a few official addons (the Elastic Search addon and soon the Resource Manager) but the majority are community created. The majority are listed in the Resource Manager here (http://xenforo.com/community/resources/?order=rating_weighted)

4) Nimbus Hosting are popular on here and I couldn't recommend them highly enough :-) There are several other popular hosts on here providing specialised XF hosting.

(now let's see if Brogan's ninja'd me :p)

1. XenForo.com itself does not doing any customizing, just initial installs if paid for. Look here for developers request.

2. RazorThemes.com, Xenique.com, Audentio.com and opening soon for custom service pixelExit.com <- shameless plug ;)

3. Pretty much all mods are here in the Resource Manager, if you need anything custom refer to #1. Elastic Search and soon to be released Resource Manager are the only official addons.

4. We currently use Knownhost.com for our sites but check out the section here.

3. Chris Deeming
- Syndol
- Bobster65
- Luke Foreman
- Waindigo
- Schmidz

There are many others, it'll probably be best to look around and judge what customers/ members experiences are with <said 3rd party dev> and this will give you some idea how reliable reputable they are by looking at their resource release threads and websites where customers post their feedback.

Thanks - would I be correct in assuming that all the features you see on this forum are all purely built-in features? I assume that there are no XF add-ons or additional mods integrated in this forum?

Yes, only official XF add-ons are integrated in this forum. (RM and Extended Search)

Also have the opportunity to check out the demo.

I tried to post in one of the hosting forums in the link you state in no. 4, but, it keeps saying "(You have insufficient privileges to post here.)"

What to do?

Could you please tell me if the photo gallery/slide you see at http://www.mobitog.com/ is a built-in feature of the xF script? Or, is this another mod? If so, please give a link to this mod.
Thank you.

- Oh, I am now, I just bought the xF script! Thanks.

- And, is the xF default script mobile enabled or is their a mobile mod or plugin which sites like digitalpoint.com use to make their sites mobile friendly? If so, what mod is it and where is it?

Regards.

i see, but i just had a look at this site in full on my blackberry - i dont think any mobile version is needed; this site appears very clearly and fully on my BB, whereas full VB sites do not.
