XF 1.5 Custom user field

I am a member of an organisation and we have a membership number.

I want to add a custom field to the registration process that asks for the second and fourth digits of that membership number, this would be checked manually as a user is moderated.

Can this be done?

Creating the field is easy:

Admin CP -> Users -> Custom User Fields

These are old instructions. They probably still work. It's not strictly necessary but it can be convenient when reviewing lots of registrations.

Keep in mind that this modification would be overwritten every time you upgrade XF. If this is a feature you like then you can post a request for some one to make it into a proper addon:
