XF 2.0 Custom User Field - How to force old users to choose?

Hi everyone,

I have two new custom user field for registration which is required but I would like to do one of the followings:

- Force somehow the previous registered members to choose the new custom user fields before being able to access the forum.

OR

- Update all previous members who did not populate those new fields with something default set by me.

I have look into database, I thought it might be easier with query but the column seems to be mediumblob and I'm not much expert of MySQL to perform it with Query.

Any suggestions?
