Its easier to gauge support and track suggestions when they are in a single place. If you have something to add, you are free to bring an old suggestion back. If its been suggested, Kier & Mike have already noted it.

Also, 1.2 is feature frozen now that its in Beta, so this won't be added in 1.2.

You can already do this with CSS. Just target the specific CSS classes for each node.

I am no coder so css are no go for me.
I would prefer such an option exists just by loading an image and assign it to a node

As this is a resolved suggestion, you should post any comments in the thread I linked above, that is where they will do the most good.
