Since it currently is a real awful pain to change Avatar sizes (needs overriding a lot of classes just to spare a 1 character file edit!!) I suggest a new admin option for the 3 avatar sizes to be customized as well as for the Avatar JPEG quality ratio (currently 85).
If you like to make it perfect you could prepare XenForo avatars for the HQ future (and present) and add a switch to double the resolution automatically for new uploaded avatars.
