At the moment I am testing this by using Credits Lite and seems to be working pretty well. If it continues to test well and the user engagement is favorable, I hope to upgrade to premium, especially to take advantage of the user promos functionality which IMO, is awesome.
I was wondering if it was possible to add an "all time earnings" field, in addition to the normal credits balance.
Or does this have this already?
One common complaint with my users is that they have noted that this doesn't reflect the top earners. (Because some people SPEND as much as they EARN. )
They'd like to see who is earning the most, which is basically a running calculation of all positive credits earned over the life of their membership. The credit balance doesn't really reflect the top richest, if the top earners are spending all of their credits on goods or services, depending on how your community works.
For example:
USER A: Has earned over $10,000 credits, but has spent $9,000 of them. Has $1000 credit balance.
USER X: Has earned only $1,500 credits, but has spent only $100. He has a $1,400 credit balance.
USER A is bigger earner, and yet, his credits do not show that -- but an "all time earnings" field would. I think this would give a community a sense of not only the "top richest" for any particular date, but also all time.
So the extra user info would say
USER: A
[avatar]
All-Time Earnings: $10,000
Current Credits: $1,000
This helps differentiate top earners who also just might be the top spenders. (Top spenders will have a low credit balance always.)
I'd imagine that would involve an extra field in the table that (+=) increments upward on all positive transactions.
