Creating different sidebar for each page

Does anyone know if the sidebar can be configured so it is different for each page?

I'm trying to keep 80% of the sidebar consistent when a visitor browses the site but have 20% feature something different for each page (such as a product for sale or a special message, quote, etc.).

Can XF be configured out of the box this way or is there an add-on to accomplish this with?

Some data is only available on certain pages; the forum stat's for example are only exposed for the forum home page.

There's nothing to stop you adding your own sidebar components throughout the various pages though.
