I'd like to create a new entry in the menu bar, similar to "What's New" but only shows the new posts in a certain selection of Nodes.

Anyone know how to make this happen?

    TIA!

There is no URL parameter to restrict that page to specific nodes. You can set it for individual forums, but that will affect the original What's New link, not create a new one:

Admin CP -> Applications -> Display Node Tree -> [click the forum]
    > Forum Options : Include threads from this forum when users click "What's New?"
