Creating a Poll Programmatically

Hey guys, I am looking into making a system to auto-setup polls for certain threads in a cron job. I am just having some issues understanding how to modify an existing thread and add a poll with my desired attributes.

If any of you could point me in a direction, it would be much appreciated!

Is there any documentation on using said class? Sorry I am not a very experienced PHP user.
