Other Create redirect rules to move site from /forums/ to /

Hi -
Have this site:

http://www.dfwareamoms.com/forums/

XenForo is installed in the /forums/ folder
Running "CTA Featured Threads & Portal" Add-On

Would like to move xenforo to the root of the server for better URLs

the forumhome page at http://www.dfwareamoms.com/forums/forums/ just looks stupid

would like calls to redirect with 301 so users are taken to the correct/new URL and search images are told that it's changed.

But because of how xenforo works you can not have a "forums" folder to put a htaccess file in.

I can do the actual site move and xenforo setting update, just need help with the redirect.

I've never posted asking for custom work before, so not sure what to do now.

Try this in your .htaccess file:

RewriteRule ^forums/(.*)$ /$1 [R=301,NC,L]
