CPU Spikes related to Media Addon?

Hi,
I keep getting these high CPU spikes and seemingly stuck processes relating to the media gallery addon. if I kill the processes or disable the addon - one of the pics shows where I disabled the addon overnight - it seems to settle down. Has anyone else had CPU problems with this addon or can you think of any solutions or other things I should check? TIA

Disable FFmpeg features on XFMG.

No it seems to still be creeping up even with that switch off... perhaps the snippet from the process list helps?
