Cpanel - ugh

No idea - I had to phone them up to ask where it was. It was on the right panel near the bottom so not inside public_html. They said once you've downloaded it, delete it or the account can get flagged as it's not allowed to leave things like that in there.

Anyway think I'll leave it alone now :ROFLMAO: Public_html is tidied up and backup done and site working fine. It had some things leftover from the migration that needed deleting. Checked if it was ok to delete them first.

How secure is it?
The last time I downloaded FileZilla from the official source having declined all the free malware that comes with it, I got the malware anyway and had to reformat the hard drive so beware. Luckily it was new, self-built PC and I'd only spent the best part of a day installing the OS etc.

If you do choose to install it make sure you use the master password feature to encrypt passwords etc. but don't forget the master password used as there is no recover route.

Never had any problems with FileZilla. Just use SFTP - you can create the certs in cPanel.

Was gonna say... cPanel is pretty up there. I don't use it now, but it is modern, very flexible and you can make it fast. Its not as good as NGINX by itself, but apache is pretty damn good, and for most, it makes it easy having a complete bundle with email.

Thanks. It doesn't look quite so bad inside file manager now I've been told I can ignore the folders on the left, so have collapsed them so it just says Home on the left. Still a load of entries on the right, but once I open cpanel my files are familiar - but for example it is a tiny little green file icon for my favicon.ico, whereas on hpanel it actually displayed the icon and quite a bit larger. Everything was large and clear - good for people who are slightly challenged in the eyesight area.

Have email separate and via cloudlfare so didn't need to change a thing there. Anyway I probably won't have to go into file manager very often! Hopefully. So I'll stop whingeing about it. But if that was an operating system for a computer I'd swap it for something else!
