Converting from Snitz to xenForo

Hi all,

I have a large Snitz based forum that's been running for nigh on 17 years having been upgraded over the years but also modified with various code changes and additional database tables/columns added.

I've made the decision that xenForo is the software we'd like to convert to however not wishing to start from scratch I need to convert the existing database to this one and carry the members and topics over.

I've read that the way to do so is to convert to the SMF db first and then use the facility within xenForo to convert from SMF to xenForo, however having tried that path I cannot get it to work.

Is there an alternative route to follow or is there a service that can be 'bought' to do the conversion ?

It looks like you can go via phpbb?

I'd suggest hiring someone like @Slavik or @MattW to do the conversion for you.

MattW isn't a million miles away either so another route to consider if I can't figure it out
