Converting Fixed-Width Themes to Fluid

I recently started a new board with phpBB, and want to migrate to xenForo.

With regard to customizing its appearance with 3rd-party styles, do I understand correctly that, if I install a fixed-width style, I can convert it to fluid-width from within the Appearance tab?

It's very simple to change a fixed width style to fluid - it involves a single change in the style properties and takes seconds.
