Google Chrome Beta just gained this feature. And it should be available in stable build by the time xF2 is out. I could not find much documentation though. Mozilla seems to have a similar functionality which again I am not sure if interoperable.

YaY! This looks promising. I've been waiting for this for a long time!
But it's only working in Chrome for Android from what I can read. Hopefully they can make in work on Chrome for iOS too.
 
Twitter web app recently added a share option that activates the native sharing menu in Android. I am not sure if they are using this particular feature in Chrome!

Earlier I had to copy the link for manual sharing in external app. Now it works just like Twitter's native Android app!
