XF 2.1 Connected Accounts

Am I the only one having a ton of problems trying to get my Facebook and Twitter Connected Accounts to work? These used to work and I recall they were easy to do. Tonight, I started over with both it's been an utter failure. It's been very frustrating. I kept searching for answers and it looks like a lot of other users are also having frustrations with this? Even when I follow this step by step it doesn't work now.

The providers constantly change the requirements and processes.

We have had to update the manual numerous times.

I just set up Google in dev the other day. The manual is basically correct but needs some tweaks, IIRC. I will try to make notes when I do my live. Another admin is setting up Facebook (I'm not on the Zuckerberg Hype Machine) so I'll see what she reports.

@Brogan It would be my hope this could be looked into and the instructions updated. It's a significant part of the product in my opinion.
